The YPS Return to Learn Plan (click to view) is a result of dedicated research, scenario analysis and feedback from our families, staff and community leaders. Please know that as we learn more during this pandemic and receive updated guidance from the OSDH, OSDE, and CDC, we will continue to update and adjust our plan accordingly. 

Student learning options for the 2020-2021 school year include traditional or virtual and high school students have the option of blended learning to best accommodate their schedules. In the event of a school shutdown, we will implement our Continuous Learning Plan to ensure education continues. Starting, January 11th, 2021, our YPS At Home option will be available, a new, temporary, learning pathway that will allow students to learn from home who are successful learning independently in an at home setting.

If your child is currently enrolled in the traditional or virtual learning pathways and you wish for them to remain in those pathways, no further actions is needed. Enrollment for YPS Virtual and YPS At Home is open through December 16th, 2020.

Continuous Learning 
Yukon Public Schools Continuous Learning Plan

The Return to Learn Model provides guidance, direction, and structure for providing education in starting in August while under restrictions related to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In the event school is closed for a set amount of time, the district will implement a Continuous Learning Plan focused on providing teacher lead instruction and supporting student learning in the home setting. This plan includes the deployment of individual technology devices for all students as well as the daily use of Schoology (2-12th) and Seesaw (PK-1st), the district’s learning management systems. Daily “live” instruction will be provided by YPS teachers with each session recorded for students who may be unable to attend the “live” session. In addition, teachers will provide ongoing communication, activities, assignments and assessments via the LMS systems.
