Thank you for your interest in being a substitute teacher at Yukon Public Schools. All substitute teachers are required to be at least 21 years of age, attend a scheduled substitute teacher workshop, submit the required background check, and complete all required paperwork before being allowed to substitute teach in our District.
Yukon Public Schools has scheduled several workshops throughout the school year to train substitute teachers. All workshops are held at the Yukon Schools Administration Building located at 600 Maple Street, Yukon, OK 73099. Space is limited at each substitute teacher workshop. Please sign-up for an available substitute teacher workshop using the calendar below.
Our workshops are scheduled to last around 3 hours in order to address all necessary annual training and review district policies and procedures. Once substitutes have been fully onboarded and successfully completed their first assignment, they will be compensated for their time spent in the workshop. This payment will be included in their first scheduled paycheck.
