Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate how to best serve our students in the upcoming school year. Although we are presenting our current plan, we remain open to adopting best practices as they continue to be revealed.

Yukon Public Schools Continuous Learning Plan

The Return to Learn Model provides guidance, direction, and structure for providing education in starting in August while under restrictions related to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In the event school is closed for a set amount of time, the district will implement a Continuous Learning Plan focused on providing teacher lead instruction and supporting student learning in the home setting. This plan includes the deployment of individual technology devices for all students as well as the daily use of Schoology (2-12th) and Seesaw (PK-1st), the district’s learning management systems. Daily “live” instruction will be provided by YPS teachers with each session recorded for students who may be unable to attend the “live” session. In addition, teachers will provide ongoing communication, activities, assignments and assessments via the LMS systems.
