Yukon Public Schools is now using SchoolMessenger Chat to enable two-way conversations, group chats, and more.
SchoolMessenger Chat is fully integrated with our SchoolMessenger Communicate platform, the communications service that enables Yukon Public Schools (YPS) to share important information by phone call, text message, email, and social media. For parents and students, this means that they can now access all of their school communications, update contact preferences, and report absences from a single source. YPS is requiring all teachers and staff to utilize the SchoolMessenger platform to communicate with parents/guardians and students. Other third-party apps, such as ClassDojo, Bloomz, Remind, GroupMe, social media messaging/comments, etc. are no longer approved for use in communications between teachers, parents/guardians and students. This also includes using social media to contact schools and individual employees. More information regarding the privacy of student data and approved apps can be found at
