Technical Theatre

The focus of Technical Theatre is to give students an overall knowledge of the theatre and how it operates. Students learn how to operate and maintain theatrical equipment such as: lighting consoles & fixtures, spot lights, sound systems, video cameras, video switchers and audio/video editing equipment. Students will also learn skills with rigging, basic ropes/knots, fly systems and more. Students learn to work with members of the class, school personnel as well as professional talent such as bands, orchestras, vocalists, dance companies and speakers.
