Welcome to Surrey Hills Elementary!

We have an Early Childhood Center philosophy and serve approximately 330 students, Pre-K thru 3rd grade. We have an exceptional school where highly qualified, dedicated teachers work closely with parents and the community to ensure that every child receives a quality education that will enable them to succeed in his/her life goals.

Our goal is to provide a sound basic skills program in all academic areas. A variety of teaching approaches and methods allow us to serve the different learning styles of students. We want to provide a safe and caring learning environment which will equip students with basic educational, intellectual and social skills.

Parent participation is a key element in childhood success. Our faculty and parents work together to create the best possible learning environment. Volunteers work regularly in the school to provide assistance to students and teachers. Parent and community involvement is encouraged and has traditionally been a strength at Surrey Hills Elementary.

As we work together during the year, I invite you to stay in contact and let us know about your child's school experience. Please do not hesitate or ever think your comment or concern is unimportant. Through teamwork, open communication and a dedication to continuous improvement, we can make a this a school your child will enjoy attending and have many fond memories of!

I am honored to be part of the Yukon Public Schools and their excellent educational system. I look forward to serving as the principal of Surrey Hills Elementary  and to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our students.
