  • Earth Day Students wore green to show their support for taking care of the Earth. Parent, Roberta Moore spoke at Ranchwood Round-up explaining how to recycle and save energy and water.
  • Mrs. Blose's 3rd grade class at Ranchwood Elementary celebrate as they have just achieved "Model Classroon Status" with the national Accelerated Reader-Reading program! The students had to maintain a class average of 90% on all of their A.R. tests for 12 consecutive weeks, and have a medium point range of 17 A.R. points each.

  • At Ranchwood Round-Up today, our PTO president Amy Seagraves presented a plaque to honor Chili's Restaurant to recognize their partnership in education with Ranchwood Elementary. Once a month PTO hosts a Chili's night and Ranchwood recieves a percentage of the Ranchwood families that dine at Chili's that night. The winning class with the most participation wins a trip to Chili's for lunch as a class!

  • Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Kelly Stennis and Mrs. Colleen Iasiello, recieved a certificate of excellence award from the Respect Diversity Foundation and Metro Family Magazine for their 'Reflections...Through the eyes of a child' project they did with their students. It was a big honor to be recognized by Sandy Garrett, our state Superintendant of Oklahoma public schools.   • Students and Mrs. Kristen Eck celebrate with a Hot Fudge Sundae Party! These students turned in their Home Reading Projects which means they each read fifteen minutes each night for the third nine weeks.

  • One of our therapy dog mentors read a book to these two boys. The book was "Bruno Bakes a Cake". She made them a cake and then made them each an apron and chefs hat!

  • Learning takes flight at Ranchwood Elementary. A major component of Shelley Erdman's Foundation of Excellence grant is Captain Kevin Hayes of Southwest Airlines. Captain Hayes answered several questions about his commitment and participation in the grant during the SCC meeting recently held at Ranchwood.
