Our Parents

You are your child's first and most important teacher. Parents are valued partners in Yukon Public Schools, where we believe that successful learning is best achieved through collaborative partnerships with parents, families, positive adult and student role models and all sectors of the broader community.

Information Regarding Entrovirus D68

The Centers for Disease Control has compiled several resources designed specifically for parents concerned about EV-D68.

Parent Involvement / Volunteerism

Our parents help to ensure the highest levels of student learning through strong partnerships and collective accountability. The excellence in our school system is due, in large part, to the involvement of our parents and their volunteer efforts. By sharing their time, talents and resources as members of PTAs/PTOs, Helping Hands, Miller Mentors, and on district advisory committees, our parents strengthen the YPS team.

Parents as Partners in Our Schools

Reading to children, serving as guest speakers, assisting with parent/teacher organizations and serving on school based committees are a few of the many volunteer opportunities that await parents in Yukon. With 11 schools and several service programs, YPS appreciates the valuable time parents donate to building brighter futures for our students.

In addition to the resources found on this site, parents are encouraged to contact their child's teachers and school office for more information and partnership opportunities.

PowerSchool Parent Portal
It is a pleasure to offer Parent Portal to our parents.  You will find Parent Portal a helful communication tool.  The red "Parent Portal" button on the right will take you directly to the log in screen.  However, before you log in, you will need to pick up your account information from your child's school.  To learn more about receiving your account information and the use of Parent Portal, please visit our Parent Portal page.
