Here are a few helpful reminders about the start of school: 

• School starts at 8:10 A.M. now.  Please try to have your child to school by 8:00 so that he or she is seated in the gym in time for Lakeview Liftoff.   The building will be opened at 7:10 A.M.   Recommended drop-off time is 7:30 - 8:00 so that your child doesn't have to sit for a long time in the gym.     
• Students can be dropped off at the main entrance or the gym entrance.
• School ends at 3:10 P.M.
• Please do not shortcut or drive the wrong way in the parking lot.  Parents picking up students should make a counter-clockwise loop around the lot to the front of the building.  Left and right lane is pick up and drop off, center lane is drive through.   Please do not drive in the bus lane except for Open Door pick-up AFTER 3:45 P.M.
• Walkers from behind Lakeview may walk across the athletic fields and pass through the gate across from the main entrance of the school.
• There is a bike rack at the southwest entrance of the building.
• Students that walked to Central and Ranchwood last year will walk to a holding area designated by the principal at that school.  From there they will board a bus to Lakeview.   These same students will be dropped off at that location at the end of the day.
• Office procedures for Lakeview (check-in/check-out, medicines, student records, etc) will be largely unchanged from procedures at other elementary sites.
• Teacher and pod requests / changes can not be accommodated.  Lakeview is a new elementary school and is a blended family of teachers and students.
