All 6th graders will be enrolled in the following core classes: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Accelerated Reader.

___ PE/Block (Block consists of Art, Music, Spanish, and Keyboarding) 6th grade students attend their electives 6th or 7th hour.
7th Grade
All 7th graders must be enrolled in English, Geography, Math, and Science.
All sections are year long classes. *Must meet qualifications.

Pre AP Classes Course #117 Pre AP English Course #417 Pre AP Life Science
- The placement decision for the Pre AP Pre-Algebra course will be heavily influenced by the student's math score on the CRT math test, which will be administered in April of each year. Additional consideration will be given to those students who exhibit the desire and motivation necessary for success in the Pre AP Pre-Algebra course.
- The Pre AP (Pre-Advanced Placement) classes are for those students who want a more comprehensive education. A Pre AP student may spend an average of 45 minutes each night per Pre AP class in meaningful homework.
8th Grade
All 8th graders will be enrolled in the four core classes: English, Pre-Algebra or Algebra I, Science, and History.

- **The placement decision for the Pre AP Algebra I course will be heavily influenced by the student's math score on the CRT math test, which will be administered in April of each year. Additional consideration will be given to those students who exhibit the desire and motivation necessary for success in the Pre AP Algebra I course. The grade received in the class will not be used in determining high school GPA and /or valedictorian status. A student must satisfactorily complete four years of Math for grades 9-12 regardless of the Math course completed at the seventh or eighth grade level.
- The grade for Spanish I will not be used in determining HS GPA and/or Valedictorian status.
- The Pre AP classes are for those students who want a more comprehensive education. A Pre AP student may spend an average of 45 minutes each night per Pre AP class in meaningful homework.
