Curriculum

It is Yukon Public Schools' belief that all children are unique individuals, capable and creative. We believe that the educational experience should be structured so as to provide an appropriate environment in which children can grow emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically. The curriculum of Yukon's School System is arranged to benefit the students academically and prepare them effectively for advanced education or an easy transition to the work force. Strong emphasis is placed on basic education skills at each level. Every effort is made to maintain an aligned curriculum, which tests students on information they are expected to learn and this information is included in the instruction they receive.

During the last four years of school, students enjoy a challenging curriculum. A wide spectrum of classes ranging from special education to college level advanced placement classes is offered.  The Yukon School District identifies and serves special education and intellectually gifted. Yukon High School has passed rigid standards to qualify for membership into the North Central Association of Schools.
