Yukon Public Schools Substitute Teacher Workshops
2010 - 2011 Yukon Public Schools has scheduled workshops to train substitutes for the 2010 - 2011 school year. These workshops will be held at the Yukon Administration building, 600 Maple Street from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Substitutes must be 21 years old. No reservations are needed.
Individuals interested in substituting will need to bring two forms of ID (social security card and driver’s license or birth certificate) and $45 cash, check or money order made out to Yukon Public Schools, for an OSBI/FBI background check. If you are a certified teacher, we will need to make a copy of your certificate.
The $45 national criminal history record check is required by the state of Oklahoma as of July 1, 2010, and must be updated annually. You will also receive blank fingerprint cards at the workshop which will need to be taken to the Yukon Police Department to have your fingerprints registered. There will be a fee of $10 charged at the police department at the time of your fingerprinting.

All applicants are required to stay for the entire training period. The training will begin promptly at the scheduled times. We request that no children be brought to the trainings.

Anyone interested in substituting must attend the workshop before substituting in Yukon Public Schools. You do not need to pre-register for the workshops.
