Information Technology
We believe that technology is one of our greatest resources as an instructional and managerial tool. To serve our district of over 700 employees and 7,000 students, we have assembled a highly qualified team to support our district’s technology infrastructure. The information Technology department oversees a variety of servers, networking equipment, peripherals and more than 2000 computers in eleven schools, the administration building, and various buildings throughout the district The Information Technology department contributes the following elements to the “Excellence of Education” in Yukon Public Schools:
Design and implement district computer networks and district phone system
Provide Internet and e-mail access and support for each user
Serve as the primary contact for the resolution of technical issues and problem solving
Work with principals, directors, and administrators to develop long term networking solutions
Recommend and purchase computers, and computer-related items to meet district needs
Hold and attend technology related meetings to share ideas and discuss technical solutions for district hardware, software, and network security
Maintain computers and related equipment
Aid in the development of our district web site
